Just in case you have road rage. . . . . .
Yesterday I had to go to Fayetteville to take a class for work. It was a very eventful trip. For starters, I left a few minutes before 6am. I am usually opening my eyes to start the day at this time. Anyway, I must have got into the traffic going to Tysons. Vehicles were weaving in between cars all the way down the divided highway. The car in front of me was slowing down as they were rounding the corner coming into the Alpena so of course I was slowing down also. I don't need a ticket. This truck flew around the car behind me, my vehicle and the vehicle in front of me. I have no idea where this truck came from and it was flying in the on coming lane. I was so thankful to be turning off on Hwy 412 to get away from that mess. I will be honest, I do not see well in the dark. The car lights blind me. (Was I wearing my new glasses that are suppose to help with glare? NO! I can't remember them.) So, when it is dark I do not drive as fast. I go the speed limit but not my usual day time lead foot speed. This truck came up behind me. Right on my tail and followed me for several miles. I guess I wasn't going fast enough. They then turned their bright lights on and kept following extremely close. Did they really think this would make me speed up or find a place to pull off and let them go by? NO! I could barely see the road. Needless to say, I was not having a good morning and missed my turn onto Hwy 45. The road construction has made everything look different. I made a u turn at the next legal spot and got back heading the the direction I needed to go. Guess what, at the first stop light I came to that truck was in front of me. All that rudeness and looking like he was going to ram me didn't get him where he was going any faster. I had time to go down the road and turn around. From now on, I am going do my best not to get road rage. Not that I have ever done anything like this. I finally made it to my class. On the way back I followed a semi most of the way and for once I wasn't in any hurry to get around him.
