Mom Turned 50 this year

We had a surprise party for my mom on her 50th birthday. It was quite a surprise to come home from the grocery store and find all of us there with chicken on the grill and a birthday cake. I got this crazy crown from a lady at work and it helped make the night a blast.

Miranda's Graduation

My cousin Miranda graduated May 17th with honors (higher than a 4.0). Her Nan (my Aunt Susan) has raised her since her father passed away several years ago. This was truly a happy day. Miranda journey is just beginning. She married a military boy about a month ago so who knows where she may end up. She is planning on having a large reception soon as they had a small fast wedding to get all the military paperwork started so she can go be with him.

Garage Sales

Going to Garage sales is one of my favorite things to do. I have even got Scott going with me. He usually finds things I have no idea what are but enjoys going with me. This day my bargain of the day was all this scrap booking stuff for $5. His was this beginner ski which we paid $4 for. We had no idea how much it cost new until we went to Bass Pro. They cost $99.

Breanna

I have the worst time getting Breanna to let me take pictures of her. I guess it must have to be the age. 13 is a hard/strange age. This one is the latest photo I have with her new sweater and scarf. You can't see her new black "Mudd" high heels.

Turkey

This last nine weeks of school has been filled with projects. The hardest and most time consuming was Christian's history project of the country Turkey. He had to hand draw 2 different maps, draw a cover page, hand write a 4 page report, reference page and make a poster board that had to have a hand drawn picture on it. I don't remember doing that kind of stuff until high school. I hope he makes a good grade on it after all that hard work.

First Fish

I was beginning to think there was something wrong with the boat. We had been fishing several times and hadn't caught a single fish. Scott and I finally caught 3. The 2 I caught came first and his was the last one. We could see huge carp in the water and some other large fish jumping but didn't catch any keepers.

Sunset

I have decided when my favorite time to be on the boat is. The sunsets are beautiful. These were taken last weekend.

Brother VS Brother

I'm a huge little league baseball fan. My nephews Justin and Trevor are big into sports and are very competitive against each other. First pitch of the game was Justin throwing to Trevor and Trevor hit it way into the outfield making it to second base. Justin had some great hits also. I think Trevor was out of innings for the tournament so he was in center field. It was a great game. They both played really hard and in the end little bother Trevor won. Living under the same roof it was very hard to have good sportsmanship after the game.

Ashley's Wedding

My office manager's (Pat) daughter got married in March. They were married at the Thorn Chapel in Eureka Springs and then had a huge reception at the Comfort Inn here in town. It was beautiful. These are some of the photos I took.
I would like to know what buttons I pushed on my camera to get this shot. It was taken in the middle of the ceremony and the lighting was really hard with all the windows.

Pretty Food

I just love these pictures.
These are my favorite but I only get them at wedding showers, baby showers, or weddings.

If I had a place to put it I would frame this picture of the strawberries. It is one of my all time favorites.

Brush Fire

We had the biggest brush pile I have ever seen. I'm surprised we didn't get the fire department called on us.

Basketball

Christian had a blast with the after school basketball program this year. It was really neat they had high school kids for coaches.

First Trip out on the Toon

Our first trip out on our new boat started a little rough. We should have known when we bought it on March 31st and it turned winter for 2 or 3 weeks after that. Then the day before our big trip Scott noticed a screw in his tire and went to have it fixed on the way back it broke down at Edwards. Thanks to Kristy and Heath letting us borrow their truck we still got to go. The kids and I got the boat started and off the trailer just fine. We were headed back to get Scott at the dock and almost ran over the dock because it was so windy. We finally ended up away from the dock. . .I really don't know how. The boat then died and I couldn't get it started back. We started floating off down the lake. With the kids yelling for their dad to help I was beginning to panic. This was the first time we had taken the boat to the water. We didn't even take it out when we bought it because Scott was on call. The only time I have drove a boat was on my grandpa's lap when I was about 10. I finally got it started and I banked the boat so Scott could get on. Needless to say the men unloading their boat at the dock was laughing at us. We didn't catch any fish but we had a lot of fun.
