Scott wanted a very expensive Birthday present this year. He wanted a High Point 45 pistol. That's not what I planned on getting him. However, he really wanted it and told me exactly how much it was at each of the different places in town that carried it. I called a couple of places and they didn't have it in stock and one place told me they couldn't even get it. I broke down and told him that he wasn't going to get it. . . that I couldn't find it anywhere in town. He then told me that one of the pawn shops in town carried them. Sure enough they had one is stock. I went the next day on my lunch hour and got cash out of the bank because they only take cash or credit card and he would know what I was doing if I used the debit card. Anyway I went to buy it and they sold it the day before. . . I couldn't believe it. I have never got him exactly what he wanted and I couldn't find it in town. The gentleman at the shop took down my number and said he would call if he could get one in. I didn't hear from him that afternoon so the next morning I started calling all the towns near by that maybe some how I could sneek off to. No one had it or was able to get one for me. Then the guy from the pawn shop called me and said he had one on the way if I still wanted it. I couldn't believe it. I had been looking for this gun for about two weeks and I didn't even know what it looked like, so of course I said I wanted it. I expected him to call me in a week or so and he called me about 2 hours later and I went and bought it that day on my lunch hour. It is very hard for me to keep a secret from Scott (and I was out of money) so I gave him the gun along with some books on gost hunting and big foot for his Valentine's Day/ Birthday present.
